The Company

The Company A.C.S.I. ("Apparati , Consulenza, Sicurezza Informatica", i.e. Devices, Consulting, Information Tecnology Security) S.r.l. ("Societa' a responsabilita' limitata", i.e. Limited Liability Company). The Company was founded in 1990 with the aim of providing consulting in the security sector, with particular emphasis on the protection of classified information. The A.C.S.I. S.r.l. mainly develops its activity along three fundamentals lines:

• technical assistance for the security of Centres for Electronic Data Processing (E.D.P.), for corporations on firms bonded by secrecy on their own information or for institutions and Societies aiming at or interested in safeguarding their own information assets;
• design and production of special, hi-tech apparatus and devices, aimed at the securing of communications (COMSEC), notably of conversations;
• techical - logistic assistance to educational institutions, which look after education courses and professional training.

In view of the above, the A.C.S.I. S.r.l. is dearly able to provide, from project phase to actuation phase, the following services:

• design and installation of traditional screened chambers and of alternative screening systems;
• "Radiation Survey" and "Tempest Zoning" for COMSEC purpose;
• detailed processing of all the documentation requested according to the EAD Centres security regulations (Risk Assessment, Security Regulations, Test Report, Planimetries, etc.);
• technical assistance in the EAD Centres certification and approval processes, according to the parameters requested by the National Security Authority ("Autorita' Nazionale per la Sicurezza", ANS);

• adjustment of environments according to COMSEC standards;
• preventive, ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of shielded chambers and of adjustments according to COMSEC standards;
• secure connections by optical fibres;
• carrying out of short training periods on the informational risk safeguard (in co-operation with COMPUTER SECURITY INSTITUTE qualified staff).

Besides the original and traditional activities, A.C.S.I. identified the need for a further interest in the field of telecommunications security and the privacy of conversations. In view of the above, some high-sophisticated devices have been designed and produced, which enable the following to be obtained:

• discreet detection of activated listening devices;
• nullifying of the effectiveness of any possible apparatus for the illegal tapping of conversations (microphones, environmental radio transmitters, mobile telephones);

Moreover, co-operations have begun at national and international level with the most qualified firms in the field of high-tech apparatus and devices production. At present, the Firm isa able to provide special apparatus yielding high security against illicit intrusion attempts , such as:

• cryptographic phones, fax, modem;
• nullifying and masking units for military and civil uses;
• device for the telephonic disconnection;
• nullifiers for mobile telephony and for environmental radio transmitters.
