Disconnector DXT 11 is a device which is connected in series to a
telephonic apparatus, improving its security, preventing external intrusion
and environmental listening carried out way telephonic channel connected to the receiver
or to the "viva-voce" system.
Principles of operation
The base principle with which DXT 11 operates, is disconnecting telephonic channels, when
they mustn't be used for normal activity by user.
In sleep conditions of the telephonic apparatus, DXT 11 interrupts phisically the connection
of telephonic channel.
The device is able to recognize when telephonic apparatus receives an external calling (ring)
or when there's a request of line for carrying out a call (Hook off).
In this case it'll reconnect telephonic channel for allowing to the phone usual operations.
The Disconnector can be conneted both on external lines (phones directly connected to the Telecom
telephone exchange), and on internal lines linked to private switchboard (PABX).
It can manage 2 wires connection (base apparatus) or 4-6-8 wires ones (multifunction phones).
Telephonic disconnector isn't usable on digital apparatus which uses digital data channel for the
telephonic bidirectional transmission (as an example, for ISDN phones or for particular last generation
PABX).
However, this isn't a limitation beacause the same intrusion devices, to which the disconnettor is
opposed, can't operate on these digitsl phones; in fact when they're in sleep state (hook off: down receiver),
it doesn't exist any physical connection (electric) between audio devices of the apparatus (microphone and
loudspeaker) and the telephonic line, which , in this case, is a data line.
In other words, the coding/deconding function of audio signal from the analogic one to the digital one and vice versa
isn't working when the apparatus is in sleep state.

Installation
Every disconnector is equipped with RJ45 connectors thus characterized:
- one 6 pole PABX connector (PABX6)
- one 8 pole PABX connector (PABX8)
- one 6 pole telephone connector (TEL6)
- one 8 pole telephone connector (TEL8)
They are moreover supplied with 2 small cables of 15 cm length :
- one with 6 pole RJ45 (male)
- one with 8 pole RJ45 (male)
Installation procedures are very simple and are described in the user handbook.
RJ45 connectors are inside the same box so the connections are carried out with open box.
Inside the box, directly on the electronic circuit, are located configuration pits on both
access sides (front and rear); on these areas jumpers and trimmers are hosted for the final
configuration.
Since it's closed, it can be seal up through cover-screw labels for pointing out possible effractions.
Since connections are working, the device will be immediately operative because directly fed
by the telephone line.
